Work packages
The Project Is Structured In Six Work Packages Including Product Development And Innovation Activities.
MED4PEST will build on :
- Strengthening science, technology, and innovation in rodent biology and management, and developing and applying biosensor and microsensor technologies.
- Utilizing robotic systems and computational intelligence technologies to reduce costs and inputs in hydroponic cultures.
- Developing bio-pesticides based on several plant extracts, e.g. Mentha and needle plants.
- Carrying out research on identified knowledge gaps and priorities to develop and scale up ecologically sustainable and cost-effective rodent management that is appropriate for Mediterranean farmers and habitats.
